Eighteen in Twelve – Belmont Condominium Railings Replaced in a Flash

very second-floor condo unit porch railing was disassembled and replaced with new ones within a span of 12 work days. With most residents working from home it was important for us to be on and off site as fast as possible with minimal disruption while maintaining our high standard of work.

Eighteen Accoya wood railing units were milled and assembled in our workshop prior to being transported to site for installation. Stainless steel fasteners were utilized to secure the railing posts to masonry, and the lumber was left unfinished so it can weather grey and compliment the existing landscape. The railing pickets were assembled to the top and bottom rails using mortise and tenon joinery, and reinforced with epoxy adhesive.

We are very grateful to the residents at Belmont for their patience and convenience during those two weeks. A couple of residents even provided our installation crew with morning coffee and baked goods, a pleasant and heart-warming surprise.
